| May 4 | Rev. Carol Rosine | The Call
On this Sunday when we celebrate Rev. Ann Willever’s call by this congregation to be our Family Minister, Carol will reflect on the way that all of us are being called to a deeper and more expansive way of living. This is also the Sunday when we recognize the children who have completed their UU Journey, a program in which they deepen their understanding of our UU Principles. Please note that Ann’s Installation happens at 4 PM today. |
| May 11 | Rev. Carol Rosine | Julia’s Voice
It was in 1915 that President Wilson declared Mother’s Day as a national holiday in which to honor mothers. But did you know that forty five years earlier, Julia Ward Howe issued the first Mothers Day Proclamation in which she said "Arise then… women of this day! Arise, all women who have hearts…." She wanted women to "rise up and oppose war in all its forms." On this day we join with other UU churches who are listening to Julia’s Voice. On this Sunday we officially welcome our newest members. |
| May 18 | Rev. Carol Rosine, Rev. Ann Willever |
