Our Welcoming Committee Members of the Welcoming Committee are always available to answer your questions about The First Universalist Society in Franklin and Unitarian Universalism in general. A member of the committee is at each Sunday service and will be at a welcome table in the foyer to the meetinghouse. He/She will be able to answer your questions and assist you in finding your way around the congregation. To speak to a Welcoming Committee member during the week, please contact our church office at 528-5348. Who Are We We call ourselves "UU’s", which is a friendly acronym for Unitarian Universalists. We are families, couples, and single people of all ages and lifestyles who live in the greater Franklin area. About our Congregation: The First Universalist Society in Franklin (FUSF) is the second oldest congregation in Franklin, Massachusetts, established in 1856. FUSF met at Marvin Chapel on the Dean College campus for thirteen years and has just completed construction of a new meetinghouse on our property at 262 Chestnut Street.
