Our Minister of Religious Education, the Reverend Ann Willever, works with the Religious Education Committee (Dave Brunell, Chair) to coordinate the following programming for children and youth: *Sunday morning Religious Education Classes focusing on the themes of Unitarian Universalism, Jewish and Christian heritage, World Religions, our Interdependent Web and Social Justice. Childcare for infants & toddlers is available at the same time. *Senior Youth Group (9th - 12th grade) meets two Sunday evenings/month. Ross Gilleland & Joni Padduck, Advisors *Junior Youth Group meets one Sunday afternoon/month. Mark Plukas &anp; Linda Plukas & Sue Bencuya & Paul Sager, Advisors *Coming of Age for 9th & 10th graders. Claire Mallette & Bill Atamian, Facilitators *Our Whole Lives, a comprehensive sexuality education program for 7th & 8th graders, is offered on alternate years *Chalice Club meets once a month for 5th & 6th graders. Roberta Jackson & Carol Younes, Coordinators *The UU Journey is a program in which 3rd & 4th graders work with their parents and each other in order to understand the UU Principles. This program takes place alternate years. Sue Fouracre & Barbara Aspland-Wolf, Coordinators (2007/2008) *Family Fun Events, at least once a year. Parent Education and Support *Covenent Group for Parents of Children with Special Needsmeets monthly, Barbara Ford-Geiger, Facilitator *Parents of Teens & Young Adults meets bi-monthly in the evening, Rev. Ann Willever, Facilitator *Playgroupmeets monthly, toddlers & parents, Rev. Ann Willever, Coordinator *Parents as Spiritual Guides will be offered in the fall of 2007, led by Rev. Ann Willever Adult Education & Spiritual Enrichment (for more information contact the church office) *Spirit Groups, small Covenant Groups that meet on the 1st Friday morning and 3rd Tuesday evening of each month at Nancy Simmon's home for Group Spiritual Direction. *Sunday Forums take place following worship on the 2nd Sunday of each month from October through April and encourage discussion around ethical, spiritual & other issues. Contact person: Donna Miller. *An Introduction to Unitarian Universalism, led by Rev. Carol Rosine, will be offered in October/November for those who would like a fuller understanding of Unitarian Universalism. *Small Group Ministry for Men, an 8 week program taking place in the fall, will discuss important topics in men's lives. Facilitators: Mark Stankard & Alec Danz. *Cakes for the Queen of Heaven, the UU Goddess curriculum will begin in February. Led by: Joan Rubin & Suzanne Reynolds-Alpert. *Transcendentalism A class will be led by Rev. Carol Rosine some time during the winter.
