The ministers and the office administrator, Sue Gravina, work with the Board of Trustees who are responsible for developing policies & procedures, long-range planning, and ensuring the over-all health of the congregation. Their meetings, on the second Tuesday of each month, are open to everyone. The current board consists of: Tom Digioia, President; Bobbi Gerlits, Vice President; Suzanne Clewley, Treasurer; Claire Mallette, Clerk; and Dave Bouchard, Rick Duthe, Karen Grant, Barbara Rapisarda, & Julie Sutherland, Trustees of the Society. It is at the Annual Meeting in June that the membership of the society meets to approve the budget, elect the Board of Trustees & Nominating Committee, and act on any other business that may come before the membership. The Building and Grounds Committee, chaired by Alec Danz, is responsible for maintaining & beautifying the meetinghouse, house, & grounds. This committee also administers the Building Use Policies. The Stewardship Committee, chaired by Michael Dubinsky, is the umbrella group coordinating the Annual Canvass in which pledges of financial support are solicited, the fund-raising committee, long-term investments, & capital campaigns. They work closely with the Treasurer (Suzanne Clewley) who maintains the financial records and pays the bills and the Collector (Michael Byrne) who collects & deposits the money and keeps track of pledges. The Fund Raising Committee conducts/oversees different fund-raising events during the year including the 4th of July events on Franklin's Town Common, the Talents & Services Auction, and the Yard Sale. It also keeps track of the Chocolate Auction, the Gift Certificate program, & proceeds from Amazon.com, Melaleuca & GotBooks. Interweave A local chapter of Interweave Continental is dedicated to the spiritual, political and social well-being of Unitarian Universalists who are confronting issues as lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transgender persons. Facilitators: Dana Hoy & Dave Gerlits. The PEACE Ministry raises consciousness and inspires action for the cultivation of peace through a variety of programs and activities that take place throughout the year.
